The $18 million TVL is respectable for a new protocol, but it's a drop in the ocean compared to the billions locked in established lending markets.
The waitlist of 85,000 users suggests a real retail demand, but retail demand for leveraged products doesn't necessarily translate into institutional-grade collateral quality. The fundamental tension is that pTokens are only as strong as their settlement and their custodian.

The Custodial Fault Line: Why This Might Fail
